“baby’s first year” photos

For those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook, I’m in the process of making a huge yearlong joke with my new puppy, mimicking everything I see parents doing with their children since I myself don’t have kids with whom to do those things. So I document Zoey’s first bath…I photograph her sleeping…I even bought her a Halloween costume. It honestly is a joke, though I will also readily admit I did a horrible job of taking pictures of Kodak while he was with me, so I don’t want to make the same mistake with my new little girl. The photos themselves are set up to be a joke. But I will enjoy them forever, I’m sure.
Thanks to the masterful skills of my new partner-in-crime at my photography studio, Lauren, we’ve decided we’re going to document Zoey’s growth over the next year and attempt to get her in a chair I have at my studio at 8-months and a year. So it’ll be four months before you see her again perched up in the zebra chair, but I’m convinced by year’s end, we won’t be seeing much of those stripes. It’s crazy to know how much she’s changed even in the last three and a half weeks. I mean, say it with me, parents…they just grow up so fast.
