Today’s post would be an example of the warning I offered regarding how “not every image is going to be brilliant”. I mean…it’s brilliant, but maybe not in ways that I would like to challenge myself creatively. Instead, today’s image is simply a photo of a memory I want to keep from this great life I’m being given the chance to live. These three gents are friends of mine from church, and they are the great men building my deck. I love having them around as they are constant sources of humor. I am specifically thankful for them because with my dad recovering from hip surgery, I really have to trust in the help of others to do things like this – and they are, most definitely, trustworthy. It’s nice to have contractors around that you feel completely comfortable letting in and around your home…and to know they are working on projects with the kind of detail they would in their own houses.

And yes, in case you were wondering, those pink glasses are the ones I wore to my roller skating birthday party. Marvin found them mid-project and has opted to wear them as his safety goggles while working. Not sure what kind of protection they really offer, but isn’t there a saying about seeing the world through rose colored lenses??
