photo reflections: turkey, vol. 3

This is one of the women from Şirince that we came across selling handmade tablecloths and linens. I fell in love with her immediately. Her knowing eyes, the lines of her face telling stories of both joy and hardship over years of life… I, of course, had to purchase one of her handicrafts. To imagine her feeble hands still doing such detailed work astounds me.
Hi Kelly, I enjoyed browsing through your photos from Turkey. I, too, loved this one–this woman’s beauty really comes through. You have a gifted eye when it comes to the camera!
